“Michelle’s Kitchen’s scrumptious appetizers were devoured with delight by attorneys of the Howard County Women’s Bar Association at several of our events and I’ve relied on her luscious lunches to satisfy hungry listeners at seminars I’ve hosted with other local professionals.  I intend to continue to rely on Michelle for Simpson Law, PA’s catered events.”

“It is my pleasure to recommend Michelle’s Kitchen. We have benefited from the wonderful food prepared by Michelle for several events from large community activities, holiday gatherings and small intimate dinners. The menu is always fresh and perfect to the event, Michelle is great at offering recommendations that meet many budget levels, and she always manages to add that extra unexpected WOW.”

“My daughter absolutely loved Michelle's cooking class. She had fun and the class was also educational, she learned about what ingredients do, why they are added to each recipe and how to treat the different foods. I liked the home environment and that it was very easy for my child to understand and participate. Its also wonderful that it isn't just dessert and snack food but real meals made fun and taught age appropriately. We all enjoyed eating what she brought home. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a cooking class for their child – my daughter keeps begging to start the next class with Michelle”

“We recently had a large and last minute family event at my house.  Michelle was able to come up with a menu quickly, deliver and even set up. It was beautifully displayed and everything, salads entree, dessert exceeded our expectations. everyone commented on how great the food was. Using Michelle’s Kitchen  took the stress and worry out of the day.”

“My son took a cooking class with Michelle and had a fabulous time and learned a tremendous amount. He was so sad when it ended! Each class began with a clearly written, child-accessible recipe written on an easel and specific oral instructions on what the children would be doing during the cooking lesson. Michelle has a lovely manner with the children: warm, instructive, compassionate, firm when necessary. Each lesson was well-thought out and Michelle seemed prepared for every contingency. From a cooking perspective, unlike other cooking classes my child has taken, Michelle made sure that the children learned an actual cooking skill (like the best way to roast vegetables) as well as a basic understanding of kitchen chemistry and why different cooking techniques were effective. Michelle also made sure to use healthy ingredients (even in cupcakes!) and to encourage the children to try new foods. Overall, I was very impressed and would highly recommend Michelle as a kids’ cooking instructor.”

“Dear Michelle,

Thank you SO MUCH for the cooking lesson. I can’t believe how much I didn’t know, and how much I learned.

I have made the awesome potatoes three times already, and the vegetables twice. Everyone loves them, and my kids even asked for more! YES! Even my kids’ friends liked the potatoes… I NEVER have snacks the kids like!

And you were truly a great teacher. You showed me every detail I needed to know, and because I was working with you, and asking all my questions, I can now repeat the whole process. I never would have learned by reading from a book or watching a show. Even though we only made one meal, I feel like I learned so much that will help me with other foods and meals!
You gave me so many tips that I have been using in all my cooking- really simple things like greasing the pan and getting things off the tray right away, and knowing not to overcook, and why things taste good when they are roasted. Plus, I now know the basic idea of adding olive oil, salt and pepper to almost everything. I even bought the right kind of salt the other day, AND fresh parmesan.

Thank you so much, and I will happily do it again. Tyler has already told me that he wants to be in on the next lesson, and if you have lessons for kids, he’s in!”
